AUSTIN, Texas - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Aug 07, 2008 : Borland Software Corporation (NASDAQ:BORL), the global leader in Open Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), today announced preliminary financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2008. Borland also announced that industry veteran Rich Novak will replace Dave Packer as Senior Vice President of worldwide field operations, effective immediately. For the second quarter of 2008, Borland reported total revenue of $41.9 million, GAAP net loss of $5.6 million, or $0.08 per share, and non-GAAP net loss of $6.8 million, or $0.09 per share. GAAP net loss included $1.2 million in stock-based compensation, $0.1 million in restructuring expenses and $2.2 million in amortization of intangible assets.
